Jane Austen Festival 2026
We were delighted, for a fourth year, to invite visitors to the Jane Austen Festival onto our lawns for a game of croquet.
Members led our guests through a game of golf croquet on eight half lawns, some having enjoyed the experience previously and were returning for a second or third visit! Many were dressed in Georgian costume making the event quite a spectacle on the lawns. Laughter and excitement abounded as hoops were scored and old rivalries settled. Our guests were then encouraged to stay with us for a while longer to indulge in a cream tea set out in the Clubhouse.
This activity is enjoyed by both our guests and members. We are building personal friendships with many of our guests and look forward to catching up with them again in 2027.
Are you tempted?
If you want to come down as a group, we can set you up and get you playing. Contact us and we can discuss what you need and what we’d be able to provide. ( NOTE: please put CROQUET in the subject line, and be sure to include your full name and contact information and details of your interest. If you do not see a reply within a few days, be sure to check your spam folder for replies from someone at the club.)
