Opening Win for SC (Restricted) Team
Bath’s Short Croquet (restricted) team opened their account this year with a convincing win against Kington Langley on Lawns 2 & 3 at the Rec. The sun beat down all day, and the team were glad of the shade provided by the trees! Roger Hayes kindly took on the job of refereeing the afternoon session.
Bath’s team was captained by Philip de Glanville (SC2.5) ably supported by Lynne Passfield, who has continued in her winning ways (with yet another four wins!) and has now gained a handicap reduction to SC3.5. Tony Jackson and Tony Curson (both SC6) each won two out of their four games and Bath ended up with a score of 11-5, which puts them at the top of their league for the time being.
Next up the team are away to Bristol, on Wednesday 12th June.
