New GC High Handicap Team Play First Match

This year the club decided to enter a second team in the SWF GC High Handicap League. The newly formed Bath N/W GC High Handicap team had its first debut match hosting Llandaff on June 24th. Many players had not participated in SW Federation League matches before.
Under overcast skies, Bath got off to a promising start with Gill Clark and Christine Lutman winning their first game. Llandaff soon made headway with a subsequent 4 wins and a draw. Later in the day Bath secured wins by Brenda Fisher and Sue Andrew at golden hoop, plus a win by Gill Clark, again at golden hoop.
The afternoon was less positive for Bath, with 3 games closely lost at golden hoop. In spite of our loss to Llandaff an atmosphere of bonhomie prevailed throughout the day.
