GC All England Handicap

The club held their internal round of the GC All England Handicap tournament on Sunday 20 June. The weather was not kind with light drizzle for parts of the day. However all the participants enjoyed a competitive day. Elaine Morrison won with a 100% record over her 5 matches, which resulted in a handicap reduction to 6. Behind Elaine the competition was much closer with all participants winning some games. Second place was particularly tight with three players all on two wins each. Sue Andrew came out on top of this tussle on hoop difference, closely followed by Ally Hoyland and Pam Burgoyne. From this event the club will have two players in the South West Area final, taking place at Bath on 15 August, with success there leading to the National Final at Sidmouth in September.
