Nailsea Short Lawns Kicks Off Competitive Season

The club had two teams competing in the Nailsea Short Lawns last weekend. The Sunday was very cold and both teams were competing in division 2. The A team, consisting of Andrew Willis, Bob Hart, Mary Bertin and Tony Curson, were in the running for top spot going into the last round of matches but after a 2-2 draw with Camerton had to settle for 2nd place with 9 wins. The B team of Paul Francis, Folke Pope, Tony Jackson and Jennie Pope finished in 4th place with 7 wins. Both teams will remain in division 2 next year.
