Intermediate Team Travel to Pastures New
Martin, Margaret, Lynne and Nigel made the substantial journey to Garway in Herefordshire for their latest match in the Intermediate league. The venue is delightful and has plenty of character with one court laid out on the village green and the other in the team captain’s beautiful large garden a 10-minute drive away. The gardens, the views, the hospitality and the wildlife were all excellent. The Garway team drove us around between locations in their necessarily robust 4X4s, provided excellent cake and were generally lovely. Red Kites and Buzzards soared overhead, Redstarts, Blackcaps and Chiffchaffs sang, and Woodpeckers flew past. Only the result was disappointing.
