Opening SWF League Match in “B League”

Wellington were only able to field a team of 3 for the opening away B League fixture on 3 May. Our B League Team featured 2 new members Andy Wagstaff (16) and Sue Duncan (22).
We played 1x Doubles and 1 x Singles in the morning. Tony Jackson + Sue battled for 2.5 hours to a draw. Andy played well but lost his singles match.
In the afternoon Andy redeemed himself with a comfortable victory. Both Sue and Tony lost their singles matches so we started the season with a defeat.
Result Wellington 3.5 – Bath 1.5
