GC Handicap Team at Weston Super Mare

The team left Bath Croquet lawns which for some weeks have been brown with very little grass on them, therefore running very fast, to arrive at W s M to find green lawns with thick grass on them. This meant having to use strength to get the ball to move!
Both Sally Helvey and Sue Duncan were our star players each winning two of their singles matches.
Everyone tried their hardest, but we were beaten by a better team. The result was 14 to W. s M. & 6 to Bath.
The afternoon ended with tea and delicious cake, which sweetened our disappointment.
