Federation Team away at Weston

Our Federation team, comprising Paul Francis, Bob Hart, Hester Henebury and Philip de Glanville, had a disappointing day away at Weston, playing a highly-bisqued team on extremely slow lawns in pouring rain.
Paul and Bob played doubles in the morning, giving away 9 bisques in total, and were soundly beaten, while Hester also lost -7 against 5 bisques. Philip won his singles in the morning but narrowly lost (-1T) in the afternoon against 8 bisques. Bob also lost, sadly, but Paul and Hester won convincingly, despite the forest of bisques and the adverse conditions.
Losing 3:4 still leaves us at the top of the Central league, a position we currently share with Taunton Deane whom we play next, on Sunday 21stJuly.
