Through to second round of Longman Cup

The Club played their Longman Cup first round match against East Dorset. This home match was played at Hamptworth due to the clash with the music festival. Bath dominated the morning session with Folke Pope (+12) and Philip de Glanville (+9T) winning their singles matches and the duo of Richard Jelly/Norman Connor winning the doubles (+13T). The afternoon was a reversal of form with East Dorset winning three of the singles matches and it was left to Folke to seal the match 4-3 with a (+20) win. In the next round of this national AC competition the team is at home to Ealing.
