Success for GC Level Team
The club entertained Dyffryn Croquet Club in their latest GC Level South West Federation league match. Despite the visitors having a much more experienced and stronger team on paper Bath ran out 11-9 winners after a close tussle. The team got off to a good start and had a comfortable lead after two rounds. However the visitors hit back before lunch with the score at the break being 5.5-4.5. The afternoon was fairly even but the home side came good in the last round of singles with three wins out of four. The whole team contributed to the win with Roger Hayes, Norman Connor, Daniel Gott and Tony Curson each winning two singles matches with Pete Riley and Gordon Cottis also scoring points.
