Bath host successful CA GC B Level National Qualifier

The Club held a qualifying round of the Croquet Association GC B Level Tournament at the Recreation ground last Thursday. The 16 competitors came from as far afield as Cardiff, Colchester and Petworth. The main competition was won by Brian McCausland (Nailsea) who had a close game in the final, beating Richard Carline (Sussex County) 7-6. McCausland goes into the national final at Southport in October. The plate competition was won by Steve Leonard (Kingston Maurward). Bath’s Lorne Loxterkamp finished 11th in his first open tournament.
