Bath One-Two at Hamptworth in December

The Club achieved a one-two result in the December round of the winter GC Tournament’s at Hamptworth on Sunday. David Owen made an impressive first appearance in the tournament winning ahead of Miriam Bolger. Both players won their round robin groups in the morning session to take their place on the top lawn for the afternoon. David won all three of his afternoon matches whilst Miriams only loss was to David.
Norman Connor achieved second place in his morning group and finally finished in 6th place with an overall record of two wins, two draws and two defeats. Paul Francis struggled to overcome giving away an average of six free turns per game. In the morning his one win came from running a jump shot from the boundary. In the afternoon he won two out of three games to finish in 13th position.
