Nailsea Beaten after Close Encounter

Bath GC Level Team won a very close match against Nailsea by 10 1/2 to 9 1/2. Bath were trailing 7 1/2 to 8 1/2 going into the last round of 4 singles and clinched victory by winning 3 out 4 singles. Roger Hayes and Norman Connor won both their doubles matches and Norman notched up 3 singles victories to bring his tally to 5 points out of a maximum of 6. Bob Hart (6 handicap) also had an impressive win (7/2) against Graham McCausland (3 handicap) in the last game to secure victory.
