Federation Team reach Secretarys Shield Semi-Final

Bath progressed to the semi final of the Federation National Tournament with a convincing win over Ryde Croquet Club (Isle of Wight). Ryde hosted the match on their excellent lawns and clearly the lawns were to the Bath’s teams liking who recorded three straight wins in the morning play. Bob Hart in the doubles match with Paul Francis played some outstanding croquet playing well above his current handicap. The afternoon games were far closer and Paul Francis was easily defeated before his three team mates all secured narrow margin wins. Folke Pope and Norman Connor recorded two wins each.

Bath meet Caterham or Hunstanton in the semi-final.
