Bath’s Slow Start Proves Costly
Bath’s Level GC team travelled to Worcester with the strongest team line up of the season, with a welcome return for Ian Morrison. Unfortunately, the vagaries of Worcester’s lawns diminished the normal high accuracy of the team and, at the end of the morning, Bath were 7-3 down. Even the consistent Roger Hayes slipped to one defeat and a draw.
A much improved afternoon, saw Bath claw back most of the deficit but the morning’s damage was just too much to recover. The final score was Worcester 11 Bath 9.
This result puts an end to Bath’s title chances.
