Start of 2006 Season!
Bath Croquet Club began their new season on Saturday 1st April. Over 20 members turned up over the course of the day, playing a variety of Association and Golf Croquet.
The weather started off brightly, but deteriorated into spells of sunshine amidst outbreaks of showers in the afternoon. A sudden 5 minutes of sleet had all members scurrying back to the huts for cover!
Many thanks to all the members who took time to redecorate the club huts over the winter – it looks fantastic, and the colour coding of the noticeboards, as well as adding a touch of life to the summer hut, will also serve to make notices easier to read and more catching to the eye.
Well done also to Ian Lewis the new facilities manager, who came up with the idea of re-doing the club signs and including our web address on it – it has a very modern look to it!

Club Competition entries opened from this date (see Notice Boards). A few new changes for this year:
Roger Hayes has kindly agreed to take over the running of the internal club competitions, except for the internal league, which will be run by Peter Miles. We will try and update all fixtures and results on the relevant page, so that people can find out who they are due to play, and how they are doing in various competitions.
Meanwhile, Nigel Amos will be organising Federation matches, with nominated team captains helping him out. Again, we are looking to keep all match results updated online. Will all Team Captains provide a short write-up of the match when submitting their results (all photos welcome too) which can then be placed on the website!
