Bath Players called up for County Team
Bath Croquet Club players Eugene Chang and Daniel Mills have been rewarded for a successful 2005 season with call ups to represent Avon in the County Championships which take place in Brighton at the end of May.
The two Bath players will join players from Bristol and Nailsea in making up the 6 strong team to compete in the 4 day Croquet Association sponsored event.
Mills improved his handicap from 3.5 to 1.5 during 2005, and also won 2 tournaments in Budleigh Salterton and Edgbaston. Chang also improved his handicap from 3.5 to 2 and completed 4 triple peels during the season. 2 of his triple peels were in Croquet Association tournaments.
The new croquet season begins on Saturday 1st April. The club’s 2006 beginner’s course starts at 9:45 am on Saturday 8th April. The cost for 6 two hour lessons is just £ 25.
