Good Win for GC Handicap Team in Season Opener

The clubs GC Handicap team opened their sesaon with a home match against Camerton & Peasedown ‘A’ on Friday 19th May. The team ran out 14-6 winners with Sally Helvey winning all three of her singles matches plus a doubles tie playing with Clare Fletcher. Ann Short made her debut for the club in the afternoon with a 6-5 win. Also contributing to the good team performance ere Ally Hoyland, Sue Duncan, Lyndon Hughes and Anwen Owens. The team was captained (non playing) on the day by Miriam Bolger with the normal captain David Veal enjoying himself in New Zealand.
